A lot of music schools and private teachers, even in my beloved city of Winston-Salem, follow the tired old methods of teaching music. Our approach is different, we teach people all the tips and tricks professional musicians use to learn songs quickly and to play at a high level of professionalism. Many of our students go on to learn more than just the first instrument they came in to learn, some even going on to learn three, four, five or six instruments by the time they leave us. Why? Because we teach MUSIC. How music works is our primary block of information we impart to our students, and once you understand how music works, that information can be applied to any instrument. We teach right here in the heart of Winston-Salem: Piano, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Voice/Singing, Ukulele, Harmonica, Banjo, Mandolin, Slide Guitar, Tin Whistle, Irish Drumming, Music Theory and Songwriting, and we also tutor Band and Orchestra instruments.

Lessons are typically a half hour long, though some students prefer hour long lessons. And what you can expect is to learn how to play the chords you need for your instrument, along with chord progressions that are the building blocks for literally thousands of songs. By learning progressions, our students are able to play a great number of songs that they like in a relatively short period of time. Which keeps them happy, and instead of practicing being a chore, it is a fun experience they look forward to each day.
We teach Monday through Friday out of our studio at 3419 South Main Street in Winston-Salem, NC. It's the only yard with a piano in it! You can't miss us.
